Small Space = Major Planning

Downsizing to a 225 square foot apartment is a bit overwhelming. I'd like to sell, donate, or throw away as much as I can but I also plan on renting a small-ish storage unit to hold those things (like my dining room table) that I'd like to keep but won't have use for until I buy a house or that I can't sell right away but might be able to sell in a few months (like my stereo - it's in a good condition but I don't know if I'll have any takers right away). I also am going to need to purchase smaller, more streamlined items to fit my new apartment and lifestyle. For example, I can't have a queen bed or a couch in a 225 square feet, but I can have a daybed that could serve a dual purpose.

Downsizing

It's been a little over a year since I've posted and things are changing. I spent the last year going up and down with my weight, and I need to be brutally honest with myself so I'm going to lay it all out there, and (if I can buck up the courage) post a link to this entry to Facebook.

I want to start by saying that I need to downsize. For me, downsizing is not just about getting rid of possessions but also getting rid of stress and pounds.
