I need to set a goal. The idea of "losing weight" is too vague. I like the "target goal" or whatever the hell Weight Watchers calls it, but it's not giving me enough motivation.
Either that, or I'm just lazy and full of excuses :)
Anyway, I need a goal, and I've found the perfect one. My sister is having her wedding ceremony on October 5th. That is approximately 34 weeks from now. I'm going to cut of a few weeks so I can make sure I have a dress in time to perform my maid-of-honor duties. That gives me 30 weeks. If I aim to lose at least 2 pounds a week for 30 weeks, I can lose 60 pounds by the time my sister gets married.
My sister is having her bridesmaids where mismatched dresses in the same color family, so I don't need to have a dress from a bridal boutique that needs to be fitted. In fact, I have a dress in mind. And I'm pretty sure a 60 pound lighter me would look fabulous in it :)
Two pounds a week is a goal I think I can achieve. When I first started Weight Watchers I lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks, so I know I can do it.
First Goal: I'm going to lose 60 pounds by the time my sister gets married.
Starting Monday ;)
